Privacy policy
How Auto Hauss collects, uses and protects your personal information, under Quebec's Law 25.
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Who this applies to
Auto Hauss sells rare performance and collection vehicles in Quebec and delivers across Canada. This policy covers this website and the messages you send us through it. It is written in plain language on purpose: you should be able to tell what we hold and why, without a lawyer.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what you type into the "sell your vehicle" form. Nothing is collected in the background, and there is no account to create in order to browse the collection.
- Your name — so we know who we are talking to when we reply.
- Your phone number — so we can call you back about the vehicle you described.
- Your email address — so we can reply in writing, and send you the details.
- The description of your vehicle — this is the actual subject of your message.
- The language of the page you wrote from — so we reply in your language rather than guessing.
We do not track you
This site loads no analytics, no advertising pixel, no embedded third-party video, and no external chat. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Measured on the live site on August 20, 2026: a single host is contacted, and it is this one.
Because there are no non-essential cookies, there is no cookie banner to click through. The one exception is the private inventory portal, which is not part of the public site: it uses a single strictly necessary cookie to keep an authorized user signed in.
Who can see it
Messages sent through the form arrive in the company mailbox and are read by Auto Hauss. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
The site is hosted by Vercel and the mail is delivered by an email provider; both handle the data only to carry the message, on our instructions.
A copy of your message is also written to our server logs for a short time, so that an enquiry is not lost if the email fails to go out.
How long we keep it
We keep your message as long as it is useful to answer you and to follow up on the vehicle it concerns, and no longer than two years after our last exchange, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. After that it is deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
How it is protected
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type is encrypted in transit. Access to the mailbox and to the private portal is restricted and password-protected; portal passwords are never stored in readable form.
Your rights
Under Law 25 you may, at any time and free of charge:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw your consent, and ask us to stop using it.
- Ask us to delete it, subject to what the law requires us to keep.
- Receive it in a structured, commonly used technical format, or have it sent to someone else (portability).
If you are not satisfied
Write to us first — most of it is settled in one message. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, which oversees this law.
